Still Busy, After All These Years...
Jul. 27th, 2009 10:48 pmStill busy doing stuff IRL. I think I've figured out why I'm in the middle of a spate of productiveness. Not only do I have Costume College this weekend to prep for, but my in-laws are going to be here the weekend after that. Which means that all the stuff I'd usually mentally schedule for a weekend? I can't. I have to pack it all in in the evenings, otherwise it won't get done before guests are here. And I know they're family and that I don't need to have the house spotless for them, etcetera, but it's honestly stuff that needs doing anyway, so I'm mentally using them as an excuse.
Today I paid bills, did grocery shopping at two different stores, weeded and watered the front bed (I think I'm slowly winning the battle of the weeds... they seem to be getting fewer and fewer in that bed), cleaned all the dead and dying leaves off all the veg plants in the back, pulled up a lot of the grass sprouting in the cracks of the back walkway, ditched some more concrete chunks into the trash, cleaned the cat box, took out the trash and recycling and yard waste, put the cat trap baited with water under the house (we have sealed the last of the access vents and hope we didn't seal anyone in...), made salsa, made jello, did dishes, tidied the fridge and freezer, put new bags of flour in the freezer to kill any bug eggs
