Well, it's been over a month since I last posted. I'd say something like "wow, it's been over a month" but I'm not really wowed by it. I've just been kind of watching the weeks turn by on the little LJ "your last post was X days/weeks ago" counter you see when you log in, and not really having the impetus to post.

Life kind of got trainwrecked by a drama issue which I'll not get into here since the issue (and the several people it involves) hasn't been settled yet. Suffice to say that I've been made unhappier by what's gone on than I have been at any point since I was married four and a half years ago. (No, the drama issue does not involve my Wonderful Husband, or at least he's not on the other side of it; nor does this indicate my wedding day was unhappy in any way--to date I count it as the single happiest day of my life. I merely use this reference as a time counter.)

Otherwise life has been life; Wonderful Husband and I are involved in a personal project which I will post about here when a successful completion is achieved; I have begun sewing on a dress from one of the Decades of Style patterns [livejournal.com profile] racerxmachina and I picked up at Costume College (the 1925 Fringe Front Dress, to be precise); I have recently begun writing again, and my father just called me in rapture over the pickles I made from Grandma's recipe. ^_^ The gardens are proceeding apace; things have begun finishing their life cycles at the community garden and I have been pulling them up; I need to consider my seed stock and what to replace them with. The garden at home is starting to bear fruit (cucumbers and sporadic strawberries, as well as squash). Wonderful Husband and I have gone swimming and biking several times, and I've gone through the shelf of craft magazines I inherited from my grandmother and cut them down by over three-quarters. Sushi and Paris are doing well and he will get "broken" hopefully this weekend. And, the weather being fine, I dragged out my freestanding clothing rack over the weekend and air-dried all our clothes out on the patio. Saved energy, made the house heat up less, and made the entire process go much faster since the clothes dried on their hangers while the sheets and towels tumbled in the dryer. I'm quite pleased by the results and this may well become our default method of doing laundry as long as the weather permits.
