A Good Deal of Nothing

Well, yesterday I... did a good deal of nothing. I did finish up the dress I'd started sewing for my doll. Given that this is the first dress I've made for her in the twenty-nine years I've had Abigail, I feel a bit guilty... but in any case, she now has and is wearing a red velveteen dress with white lace at the hems, cuffs, and collar. She has a non-removeable red and white gingham bow in her hair, so that limits wardrobe color choices a little bit for her. The lace patterns match perfectly around the hem and cuffs and are identical at the center back of the collar, so I'm well pleased with that, even if I should have made the sleeves a touch longer. But I ended up with less than three inches of extra lace, so it was all well planned out, I feel. ^_^

After that... don't know where the rest of the day went. I ironed lots of flannel for the kitten quilt I have going, and cut out the templates for it as well. I ended up taking a nap on the sofa with my sushi blanket and cat. But the rest of the day? It is a mystery.

Cleaning

There's a floor in here? When did that get put in?

EDIT (2:30pm): Room three-quarters clean. Have taken a waistband left over from project A, sewed it to the skirt from project B, and declared project B done. Have also removed the shredded back and wadded-up batting from a cutter quilt that Someone Who Shall Remain Nameless once upon a time put in the washing machine and dryer.... Also found (at last!) one of my graph pads. And overall, the Goodwill box is feasting well today. Back to work now.
