Words! Stuff!
May. 22nd, 2007 12:11 pmLast night I hit a writing groove on the last chapter of "Afterwards," which was really really nice. It's all wooden and blocky at the moment, but it's starting to come into shape. I can smooth the edges and corners off later. But I thus ended up going to bed at 11:30... far too late for my liking. Meh. Hopefully shan't be repeating that again soon. (I'm getting old and settled into the 9-5 routine finally. And silly me, I like enough sleep.)
This morning I got up more or less with the alarm and did things that needed doing... cleaned up the bathroom a little from the makeup/hairstyling session for the wedding the other day, tossed stuff into the laundry basket, got the dishwasher filled and chugging away before work, and made sabzi, getting all the ingredients in order and into the crock pot before heading to work. I chopped onions and garlic and peppers and ginger this morning and despite the application of soap and water afterward I can still faintly smell them... which makes me happy. Good cooking, with good memories associated with the recipe. The reason for the sabzi is that my parents' thirty-fifth anniversary was on Friday but kind of got swallowed up into my uncle's wedding preparations, so I'm making kind of a late anniversary dinner for them.
Other than dinner, tonight is scheduled for all my packing for Fanime, finishing off
swtjemz's obi and packing her and
yzo's outfits, packing all the stuff for the swap meet... and, if I am good and get all else done, writing some more.
