Blue/green

Question: am planning on a hall costume. The fabric in my collection that I bought for it turns out to be too dark a green, but should I use it anyway (it's only hall, after all, and it's still green, and that way I thin out my stash a bit -and- don't have to spend more money on it), or should I be perfectionist and go hunt for "the right green"?
Second question: is Banner of the Stars II better than Banner of the Stars? Because Wonderful Husband and I both rather liked the first, but the second is numbing us with strategy after talking head after strategy... only three more episodes to go, but it's making us doubt picking up the third series if it's just like the second.
