Did no sewing today save for some cross-stitch at work, which really doesn't count. Well, I did look at the pattern I was going to use for the sleeves, compared it to source images, and realized it's actually not at all what I need.
racerxmachina, I'll need to call you tomorrow night so I can get a couple of measurements from you so I can draft two-part sleeves. Keep a measuring tape handy.
Wonderful Husband and I found out that DVD Planet is having a 50% off list price sale on their anime DVDs. (It's good at their website as well as their physical store, BTW.) So we spent part of our evening there. We were actually very good and restrained and came away at just under $100. But that includes getting our Ghibli collection up to current (save for Grave of the Fireflies, which we're semi-consciously avoiding for now just because being happy in this world is hard enough that we're not inclined at the moment toward self-inflicted misery), finally finishing off the Samurai Troopers collection, and getting a few "gap" discs where we had before and after so now I can watch more stuffs! Huzzah!
And last night while hand-sewing a waistband closed I watched Teen Titans, which led to an interesting conversation tonight about the difference between the comic (which I have read and Wonderful Husband has not) and cartoon universes. I feel the need to pull my comic book boxes out of the closet and educate my beloved....
