Apr. 1st, 2005 08:43 pmNot dead. Really. Operating under the suspicion that I'm actually over the flu but that my body didn't even stop for a breather before plunging headlong into a cold. Going to the gym nonetheless, though my workout is slightly curtailed. But I'm working back up to my former level.
Finished The Scarlet Pimpernel, and I definitely prefer the Anthony Andrews version. Also reread both of Diane Duane's cat wizard books, and find myself wishing she'd write another one. Because I'm still reading her Nita-and-Kit wizard books, but really, they hit their peak at Deep Wizardry and have never been quite as good since. I think it has to do with reversing the stance of "anyone can be a wizard" to "wizardry runs in families."
Received some prints from
skatedate's cosplay photography project, and also received the box for the LotR extended edition DVDs. Plus I've taken advantage of ADV's most recent sale and purchased Nadeshico (a series which I've long meant to watch but never gotten around to) and Cosplay Complex (it was $8...if I hate it, no great loss). AND there is going to be a second season of Rozen Maiden! This on top of Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid. So, aside from the aforementioned sicky-ness, life is mostly up at the moment.
And I did *not* get April Fooled today. Which is good because I do not take such things well.
