Vest done except for making some bias tape out of the same fabric I used for the trim and then sewing it into a tube to use for lacing. At the moment it's laced with some black ribbon. Showed it off during dinner at my parents' and it seems to suit me.

Also finally typing in hand-written chapter five of Queen's Choice.

There. Chapter five of Queen's Choice sent out to prereaders.

For the rest of y'all, here's the first bit of a Weiss Kreuz/MahoutsukaiTai! crossover I've been working on.

Argh! Argh! And argh yet again, I say!

My relatives (the Johnson side... my mother's maternal side) are wanting to know when I'm getting married so they can book flights and rooms and such. And offering me puppies, but that's at least only one of them. The Johnson side are extended and friendly and who I get my socially-outgoing genes from. The Kristiansen side (mother's paternal side) are also extended and friendly and probably socially outgoing as well, but they're all in Norway except for one great-aunt and -uncle and their daughter up in Oregon, and I don't speak Norwegian (my mother does, and Swedish as well and yes there is a difference) so I don't know nearly as much about them. The Huntsman and Huyck sides (paternal-paternal and paternal-maternal), in contrast, tend to be less gregarious, and then there's the religious wacko section of the Huntsman side, the less said about which, the better.

But... argh! Thank the gods they don't live physically close to me or they'd be trying to put my wedding together themselves. ^^;;;

The trials of a large, warm, happy family with few emotional problems. I wish this on everyone. [g] It'll all be rather fun once I can issue them a date and a "registered at" and let them drive themselves nuts for a while instead of me.

Well, Terminex has come and put traps up in the attic for all those critters that keep scampering across the ceiling of my bedroom.

NEW TAMORA PIERCE BOOK OUT TODAY!!! Good reason for being awake. Right. Non-pyjama-y clothing, load of laundry in wash, and off I go to bookstore.

Also, bussing tonight (more tips to add to the wedding stash) and Buffett concert on Saturday. Everything is, in fact, looking suspiciously rosy. Must remember to drive extra-carefully. I suspect the universe when it is being benificent.
