Insomniac thoughts...

After having read Persephone's lovely post-Gluhen story "Epilogue" I have given the matter a bit of thought and concluded that as far as I and my Weiss Kreuz writings are concerned, Gluhen does not exist. Neither does the "Weiss Side B" manga. I'm staying within the realm of the original TV series, the OVA, the "An Assassin and White Shaman" manga, and some of the drama albums.

Even I have a limit to the amount of pathetic angst and hurt I can stand being dumped on characters for no other *reason* than hurting them.

As a writer, I know that stories must be crafted around some kind of change, and, as we all know, pain hurts. As a writer I know and realize the truth of "we hurt the ones we love the best."

But there is a limit, beyond which it stops being love and becomes gratuitous abuse instead.

So I have to my computer with some Droste milk chocolate to review the last three chapters I've written to "Lady Killer" and decide what changes they need before I can release them to the world, with a note affixed that says "to me, and to my story, Gluhen did not happen."

Two of three unreleased chapters of Lady Killer now html'ed. Chapter fourteen to probably wait until tonight.

Got most of the DVDs I ordered on my birthday. Crest of the Stars is on back-order still. But among these DVDs is Saiyuki volume four, which comes with a quiz.

I am Gojyou.

Somehow this doesn't surprise me--I'm not nice enough, polite enough, noble enough, happy-go-lucky enough or capable enough to be any of the other non-evil leads.

This also helps explain to me why Yuki and Youji are only friends in the LK-verse.
