Watched third disc of Saiyuki. Angst is always good, though in this case it felt off somehow. Animation not up to par (lots of distance shots)? Or just the fact that Hakkai angst is my favorite arc? Looks like the fourth disc is going to start off with Hakkai's first meeting up with Gojou and both of them meeting Sanzo and Goku. Wonder if the anime includes the fact that Kanan was also Hakkai's [spoiler]?

On to third chapter of origwork now. Poked at it a bit during slow time at work, got a paragraph done there, and just now figured out a theme (ripples) that needs to run through the chapter and how it ties in. Am also working around the fact (constant in this universe) that a seer cannot see the shape of their own future, only the shape of others. On active musical search with everything I'm listening to these days for songs that evoke the characters I'm working with. I catch flashes of most of my mains in various songs from October Project, Dhuera in "Golden Years" (can't remember artist), and also in the current song. *points down*

Have been studying Go tonight. Have the feeling it would be easier if I actually dragged the board out (the one with the little Sai figurine currently standing atop its box) and figured out the problems on the board with stones, but it's all the way in the other room and I'm here and I'm lazy. HnG fangirl status aside, I think I need to learn Go. It'll help shape my mind to the political bent it's never had--important for my writing, I think. I also suspect the game itself will show up somewhere in the origwork. I've already managed to work ame uranau in, after all. ^^
