Concentrated on Shi's costume yesterday, pretty much have gotten everything done on it that I can help with. Convinced her to make the collar separate from the dress so that she can remove it backstage and not die of overheating the way she usually does. Only got one thing done on mine, though, the purple belt. Still have oversleeves, one floaty strap, the red belt, and a leotard to go. I'm hoping to get three of the four done today.

Oddly enough, I think we're going to meet our goal of having the costumes done by the time we get to the con. *knocks on wooden bureau to avert ill luck* And we've exceeded our other goal, which was to do these costumes so much better than the other group we know of that has done them that the phrase "blowing them out of the water" might apply. [Sorry for diction and lack of tact. Tired. Headachy. Annoyed. And have not gotten my cartoom fix for the day. Cartoons make everything better.] That said, it's already a given that we're not going to get any awards. Kind of sad when you can calculate these things out before even setting foot at the con. Uron are attending, so there goes best construction. Stitchin' Babes are attending in a group with Aimee and AJ, so there goes honorable mention best construction. Alas. Still, two out of three goals isn't bad, and these (so far *knocks on bureau again*) appear to be non-destructing costumes. Meaning we can wear them again later, unlike some of the other costumes we've done.

I think we've also reached the particular stage of tiredness where we're barely restraining ourselves from hostility. I think I'll go help Shi with her armband/oversleeve combo problem and then try to make her go to bed. I still have to roll-hem one oversleeve, sew the second floating strap, and cut out the leotard before going to bed.
