May. 12th, 2003 08:44 pmDisturbing realizations abound. And I should be translating more Japanese, but I want to write these down somewhere before I forget them.
N thinks I write psycho-Ken wonderfully. This is for the same reason I think she writes loner-Aya wonderfully. We identify so very closely with the characters. Ken is isolated from humanity. Counting in my head today, I realized that there are three people on this entire planet that I have faith to actually love me: my parents and my fiance. Everyone else, my relatives, even my friends, almost especially my best friend, gets emotionally written off to "social reaction." Why do I have so little trust? Why do I not feel that anything I give out emotionally will be returned? Like a river draining into the sea. Isolation is a self-fulfilling prophecy. From the beginning of my foray into Weiss fandom, it has always been Ken who has attracted me the most, though Youji has run a close second, hence Akayuki's sometimes seeming to be caught between the two of them. Who says she's not a Mary Sue? Has Ken's potential for darkness always been there? And if so, if his darkness is what has attracted me to his character, what part of myself does Akayuki represent?
Want to write Omi cutting Ken's hair scene. But that'll have to come post-Gluhen, which I haven't seen. Also want to write Yuki & Kiko doing DDR scene.
