sakon76Have run out of white ribbon. So far the crinoline has consumed ten yards of muslin and a hundred yards of ribbon, and it is still not satisfied. But I am approximately halfway around the hem now--perhaps even a bit more.
Work was interesting. Since it was a holiday and the restaurant was doing a buffet, the rolling station was up by the hostess desk. Which meant that when there was no one to seat I could *sit down* and roll, being productive while at the same time getting off my feet. Given that Eric did not show today (and believe me, the managers are now talking seriously about letting him go) so both Nicole and I ended up working eight-hour shifts, this was a decided advantage.
Poked a little bit at Lady Killer this evening. Came up with a placeholder scene (meaning I wrote it out so that I don't forget I want to write it, but the version I have written now sucks major swampwater except for the Nagi-and-the-ten-yen-piece part and the hints-of-what-Ran-potentially-is part) for chapter fifteen. I need to dig out my notebook so I can type in the next scene for chapter thirteen and get the ball rolling there.
Yuki Scorpio recommended a good Weiss fic on WKFFML tonight, one I'd read a long time ago. And it is good. It's Van Donovan's "One Song Glory," to be found at http://www.trowa.com/yaoi/main.html . Made me cry. Want to relisten to Rent now.
