Wonderful Husband and I watched Interstella 5555, the Daft Punk/Reiji Matsumoto collaboration movie last night. It was fun and actually a good story. I wasn't expecting things to happen that did. It also contained a fair number of "scratch head, WTF?" moments. Then there were the Wonderful Husband's comments on Scooby Doo-ish elements (spooky castle, four main charas in a van, if it hadn't been for those meddling kids...) in it that nearly had me on the floor. 'Coz, darnit, he was dead on! I'd like to cosplay Stella, but I've seen what my best friend had to go through every time she turned herself blue, added to which I'd need a lot of sit-ups. And double-stick tape. And I'm on deadlines already this year.

Yes, we also noticed the Scooby Doo elements :) That's gotta be deliberate.. We were quite impressed at just how much they managed to get across without having a single word of speech in the entire thing (not counting the songs)..
