I am at the moment sewing myself a sideless surcoat which will go over my Ovelia dress. This will increase the use of that dress... in addition to cosplay capabilities, it will also work for SCA garb. Which, given that Pentathalon is in two days, is a not-inconsiderable weight off my chest. The surcoat is made out of shot shantung... seen one way it's midnight blue, seen the other it's sea foam green. Very pretty.
