We went and did our annual family photo today. It was quite a production, given that there were ten of us! I don't know when or if we'll ever have all of both my family and Wonderful Husband's family in one place again. Unfortunately, it was during Squiddle's usual naptime, so he wasn't his usual sunny self. And Jazzy needed nursies, so there was a break mid-shoot. Plus he spat up all over his outfit afterward. Fortunately Wonderful Husband had packed a spare! And my sister, with two more months to go, was looking very round. We'll see if her girl ends up bigger than my boys. I wouldn't be surprised!

I had wrangled a slightly-too-large pork shoulder into my crockpot this morning, and with the addition of some homemade barbeque sauce, it turned into pulled pork for dinner. Nine people just barely fit around our dining table when the leaf is put in and everyone is friendly.

I finally finished the bed-sized UFO (UnFinished Object) quilt I'd been working on. Well, I say finished, but I still have to hand-sew the binding to the back. Wonderful Husband wanted to keep the binding it had, and I had no more fabric to make the binding doubled or wider, so....

Of course, having finished one project I promptly dove into another. At least it was another UFO! I used one of my wins from the Block Lotto group and got the quilt sewn, quilted, and bound in three days. A good deal of that speed, admittedly, was due to the fact that my inlaws are here and were happy/willing to play caretakers to their grandsons while I jammed my way through the project. And this was actually kind of funny: I was trying to decide what fabrics to use as borders. I had more of one of the fabrics I'd used in my blocks... and then I found a fabric in another block that I had something like six yards of, picked up in a $4 ginormous bag of fabric at the thrift store. Clearly it was meant to be borders. And binding. And backing!

Tomorrow is baking day! Pies and a quiche and cornbread. And chunky cranberries, which isn't baking, but hey, I'll count it anyway. There's going to be something like sixteen people (plus Jazzy, but he's not eating food yet) at my parents' on Thursday, but half of them are going to other relatives' for dessert, so the number of pies I need to make got dropped down to two. Apple and pumpkin. I kind of want to make one more, to try a new recipe, but will there really be a point for only eight people?
