Mar. 27th, 2003 09:35 amLast night as I sat and sewed my viewing material was _The Quest for Camelot_. A bad adaptation of a good book. Yet I like it. Why? Well, anything that has Eric Idle voicing a cartoon dragon can't be *all* bad.... But also, it has a blind, competent hero, of which I approve, add onto which that he's angsty and voiced by Cary Elwes. There are also two decent songs in it, and the poignancy of the refrain of "I Stand Alone" hurts. Plus there are plenty of snarky cultural references and it doesn't take itself (and its musical numbers) too seriously.
Off to the fabric district with my sister in a little bit, dropping my car by my uncle's shop so he can install the CD player my sister gave me for my birthday last August while we're out and about.
