The Narnia books were my childhood books too, along with the Spaceship Under The Apple Tree series, but... much as I love them and they still fire my imagination, I don't hold much sacred as far as adaptations. What works in one media doesn't always work in another, and what any one director puts on the screen can only complement or inform the version and vision I hold in my head, not sublimate or destroy it.
