White Collar Season Finale

Watched it tonight. Was... not entirely surprised. I'm not too keen on the idea of Alex as a new romantic interest for Neal. I did like it that Diana came back, and I hope to see more of her next season. I also liked that Peter's team were loyal to him and smart enough to realize they were all being watched. Neal hiding the power tools inside the statue was very clever, I thought, though, as always, the capers/heists depend a bit too much on coincidental timing/luck. And for the last quarter of the show I was chanting for Neal to not meet up with Kate at the appointed time/place. Though my guess actually involved sniper rifles not exploding planes. He was never going to leave, though, especially not since there's season 2 in the works now. I do note that Peter still has the copy of Fowler's hard drive, though now Fowler will be gunning for him and Neal and Diana. Maybe season 2 is the race to see who gets who first? I hope they don't play the "oh, Kate isn't really dead--or is she?" motif, because it's trite. Let her stay dead. Play with revelations of her late loyalties if you like, but leave her dead. Any other way is cheap.
