Seven Facts Meme

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
(1) I've only ever successfully played four video games in my life: solitaire, minesweeper, computer Tetris, and Oregon Trails. I have some kind of mental aversion to playing video games, though I'll happily cheer others on.
(2) I attended four elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school, and four colleges (two community, two not) to end up with two baccalaureate degrees.
(3) Despite the fact that I work in the cremation industry, I've never seen a dead human body, and I'm quite happy to keep it that way.
(4) I'm named for my maternal grandfather; his surname was "Kristiansen" and after he emigrated to America, his coworkers called him "Kris." My middle names are, I believe, for two of my great-grandmothers. Other names my parents were considering were "Sierra Mist" or "Sierra Dawn" or, if I'd been a boy, "Bjorn." Both my sister and I are remarkably thankful not to have been a boy for that reason alone. I was actually quite happy with my name until I hit middle school and then suddenly there were half a dozen other girls in my class with the same name. I love that my husband finds my name unique because there apparently aren't many Kristins in the U.K. (And, for the record, he's the only Douglas I know.)
(5) I can and do read roughly a hundred pages an hour.
(6) Every year I try to grow at least one new "exotic" thing in my garden. For example, in 2009 I grew beets and turnips for the first time but my exotic was four luffa plants. In 2008 I did heirloom tomatoes and soybeans for the first time, but my exotic was potatoes. Haven't decided on this year's exotic, but I have a couple contenders lined up, most of them in the solanacae family.
(7) My first memory is of being in my mother's garden among the strawberry plants and being stung by a wasp. My mother swears that I can't possibly remember this event as I was eight months old at the time.
