Title: The Herbalist's Garden
By: Shatoiya De la Tour
Length: 225 pages

Subtitle: "A Guided Tour of 10 Exceptional Herb Gardens, The People Who Grow Them and the Plants That Inspire Them." So pretty much I picked this off the shelf expecting garden pr0n. And to a certain extent I got it: the gardens pictured are indeed quite lovely, and the featured herbs quite nice. However, I should have considered the title a bit more closely and realized this wasn't, in fact, quite what I was looking for. Let's just say there's a healthy dose of herbal medications and spiritualism in the book. Which, while not something I object to, was not what I wanted to read about. :/

Verdict: The book tries to fill too many niches; there are other books that fill them individually better. Won't hurt you, but wasn't for me.
