A day in the garden
Jan. 7th, 2006 03:10 pmHah.
Went to Farmers' Market, returned with lots of fruit and veg. And kettle korn for the Wonderful Husband, but he /will/ be helping me eat the fruit and veg as well.
Then went out into the back yard. With his help, ripped out five major and two minor tomato bushes, four jalepeno bushes, majorly trimmed back three roses, and weeded the potted plants. There were rather a lot of trips made to the dumpster. And tomorrow the rosebushes (and maybe the ferns and two hydrangeas) will make their way over to my parents' to go into the soil there. Because one can never have too many roses, given enough yardspace. Which this place does not have, so maybe just herbs in the garden? I'm good with herbs.
But for now my hands are clean and dry and scratched and I'm going to the bookstore because I deserve it, g*demmit.
